Family Issues: Do I send my Wife away?

This piece was sent in by some of our readers. I read it and torched, so I thought to share. Do read carefully, and we do hope you get back to us on your comments and views on it. Thank you! 

I am a married man with children. I live with my wife and our children in a family house. There is a deity (idol) in the family house that belongs to my grandfather. The deity has some regulations one of which is no one sits on it. For instance my wife sits on it then; her husband dies (me). My wife after knowing this secret threatens me anytime we have issues or arguments. She will rush to where the deity is and threatens to sit on it so as to kill me. I will have to continually beg her and buy her expensive gifts or even write her cheques before she refrains from her intentions of sitting there. This has been going on for some time now and I have informed her parents but to no avail.

About 5 months ago, my wife on her normal activities beat up our son mercilessly. I came home from work and met the child with all the injuries complained and then sent the boy to the clinic, on getting back, I met my wife in an angry mood with the usual threats of seating on the oracle, I stood watching her since I got tired of these threats. She rushed to the deity and sat on it. Instantly, she screamed in pains and developed a hunch back. All efforts to cure her proved futile since it was an intentional act. One month later, I got a job that brought me to Holland.

 It is 6 months now and I have been of thinking a lot since am uncomfortable living with a lady that intends killing me and now with a hunch back wife. I am thinking of sending her away as in divorcing her. Am I right sending her away?

                                                    What is a vaginal Infection?

A vaginal infection is known medically as "vaginitis." The most common causes of vaginal infections are  Yeast Infections, Bacterial Vaginosis, and Trichomoniasis. Vaginal discharge may also occur if you have an infection in your cervix with gonorrhea or chlamydia. There are other causes of vaginal infections that are less common. Each type of vaginitis is caused by different type of germ or organism, so each type must be treated differently.

What are the signs/symptoms of a vaginal Infection?

If you have a vaginal infection, you may have any of the following:

*Vaginal Discharge that is different from normal

*Vaginal Odor (smell)

*Vaginal Itching

*Pain or irritation when you urinate (pee)

* Pain or burning sensation during sexual intercourse

However, it is important to note that some women may have mild or no symptoms at all.

What do I do if I have a vaginal Infection?

If you have any of the symptoms of vaginal infection, you should see your health care doctor immediately. Delay,waiting or doing self medication might damage some vital organs in the womb or could result into cancer.

Also each of these vaginal infection sometimes has different symptoms. It's hard to know exactly which type of vaginal infection you have just be your symptoms alone, since many of the signs are similar. It's also possible to have more than one type of vaginal infection at the same time. This is why it's important that your see your health doctor or preferably a professional gynecologist to find out what type of vaginitis you have and get treated fast.

It is also important to find out if you have a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Only health care providers who are professionals in this area can find out and tell you if you definitely have a vaginal infection.

You should be completely honest about what symptoms you have when being questioned, such as odor, burning, or strange vaginal discharge, even if it's embarrassing. This way, your doctor can make a correct diagnosis and prescribe the right treatment.

What Can I do to Prevent Vaginal Infections?

The best way to prevent vaginal infections is to practice good feminine hygiene. Vaginal Infections can happen more than once. You should always follow this advice:

*Keep your vaginal area clean and dry. You should wash the outside of your vaginal area every day with luke warm water, and then rinse well . Be sure to pat the area dry with a dry towel.

* Never use perfumed soaps, perfumed bubble bath or gel, scented tampons, vaginal powders, or vaginal deodorant sprays. They can irritate your vagina and cause vaginal infections. The vaginal already has its natural cleaning lubricant/moisture. However if your vaginal area is already irritated, you should not use scented toilet papers, spermicides or soaps.

*Don't wear tight damp clothing, because they can keep moisture in and irritate your vagina. If you do have to wear tight clothing, dont wear it for a long time. Wear cotton underwear. Avoid nylon and Lycra. Cotton helps to absorb moisture and allows air get through. If you wear a pantyhose, remember to wear cotton underwear.

*Practice safe sex. You shouldn't have sex with someone with sexually transmitted infection. No matter what, you should always use latex (or polyurethane) condoms to lessen your chance of getting sexually transmitted infections.

* If you use diaphragms, cervical caps, or any medication applicators, you need to make sure you clean them with warm water regularly and dry them well before inserting.

There are millions of people who can’t even fathom the thought of not updating their Facebook status, checking up with friends on Twitter or posting photos on Instagram. As fun and useful as social media is, it can also be quite addicting. If you’ve ever thought about taking a break from it all, consider some of these reasons to take a break from social media to help you decide.

1. IT’S A TIME WASTER

One of the major reasons to take a break from social media is that it sucks up so much of your time! I can’t even count the number of times when I got on Instagram or Twitter and I’m still scrolling an hour later! It’s easy to get sucked into the cutesy pictures of pets, celebrity rants or outfit and diet inspo. It’s just too good to put down sometimes. If you find that your social media habits are impinging on your time at work, school or with family, it might be time for a break.

2. IT GETS ANNOYING

It’s funny how we’re so into Facebook and Twitter, but so many times we come away from it feeling so annoyed! How many times can you read about your friend’s workouts, their meals, their relationship drama or grammatically incorrect quotes on life? If you log on to your social media accounts anticipating feeling irritated about meaningless or exaggerated status updates, why not take a break?!

3. IT’S HARMFUL TO YOUR SELF-ESTEEM

Have you ever thought about how social media can affect your self-esteem? Just as there are some friends with annoying status updates, there are others who can’t stop bragging about themselves. If you’re constantly reading about the fabulous lives of your friends, it can start making you feel inadequate. Do you ever find yourself comparing yourself to others and not measuring up? 4. PRIVACY CONCERNS

As with anything these days, there are concerns with privacy. However, when it comes to social media, this is something you have control over! It’s too easy to overshare online because it feels secure and everyone is doing it. But the truth is, the more you share with others online, the more you’re putting yourself at risk. Once something is online, it can be stuck there forever. Don’t let a Twitter rant or silly Facebook photo affect your personal or professional life!

5. IT FOSTERS SUPERFICIAL RELATIONSHIPS

Another valid reason to take a break from social media is that it encourages artificial relationships. Do you personally know all of your Facebook friends? Doesn’t the constant stream of status updates and photos from friends make you feel closer to them than you really are? You get to decide what you’re sharing online, so what you’re reading about on social media may very well not be what’s going on in your friends’ lives. Why not really connect with friends through a phone call or visit instead of relying on 140 character updates and statements?

6. IT CAN NEGLECT RELATIONSHIPS

While social media certainly has value in helping you stay in touch with people who are far away, I can’t help but think of how it can lead to neglecting the relationships you have in the here and now. How many times have you made plans with friends or family, only to spend the majority of your time looking at social media and updating your statuses? That’s not healthy! Remember to value and take time out for the people in your life!

7. IT CAN CAUSE DRAMA

In my personal opinion, one of the worst things about social media is that it can cause drama. We always run the risk of our statements being misconstrued when they’re written. Also, it’s too easy for Twitter wars and Facebook drama to unfold because it’s so impersonal. People get really brave online when they would never say or do any of those things in reality. Don’t get sucked into unnecessary drama!

As previously mentioned, social media can be a really useful tool to help stay in touch with people, communicate with companies and so on. The problem arises when we spend more time online than we do in real life or it starts messing with our happiness. Be smart about your social media use! Samsung Announce The Hennessy Flip Phone

 Samsung has announced its latest smartphone, however this a little different from all the rest. The Hennessy, as it is called, combines a smartphone that runs on Android with a dual-screen flip phone body.

From the front the Hennessy looks like any other standard Android phone but once the front has been flipped, it reveals a second screen on the other side with a full keypad below.

If you didn't know any better, you could mistake this for a smart phone or a feature phone, depending on the angle you look at it.

The phone has a 3.3-inch touch screen with 480-by320-pixel resolution. It has a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 5-megapixel camera, 1500mAH battery and a microSD card slot. The Hennessy runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).

   

So far there have been no announcements on pricing or availability. It has only been announced in China, or whether the phone will be introduced to any additional territories. The Dual-SIM support is included for both CDMA and GSM radios, which means an unlocked version could potentially work in the U.S. if you manage to get your hands on one. So when and where we will see this phone, we will have to wait and see.
