8 Health Warnings Your Finger Nails May Be Sending!

Your eyes may be the window to your soul, but, in many ways your, nails are the window to what’s going on inside your body. Here are some common nail problems and what they mean:

Take a long good look at your fingernails and you may notice subtle variations in the texture or color; white spots, a rosy tinge, rippling or bumps in the surface to mention a few. These imperfections may not look like much to you, but it’s more important than you might think to maintain healthy fingernails. That’s because to the trained eye, nails can provide valuable indications about your overall health.

Now hold your finger nails at a closer range level with your nose about a foot out from your face and scrutinize each one. Look at the grooves, curves, ridges and dips. Notice how thick or thin they are and if there are any stark differences. Are your nails chipped or broken. Make a note of the color of the nail somewhere on a note pad. This is the first step, as you need to get into the habit of knowing your nails and any changes that can occur. Changes are a good indication of the onset of several health problems.

Here are 8 of the most common nail issues:

1. RIDGES: An healthy nails should have no obvious ridge lines and should be virtually smooth to the naked eye. Ridges can indicate several health issues including:
•Inflammatory arthritis
•Iron deficiency
•Lupus (with red lines at the base of your nails)

Don’t ignore these ridges by using a nail buffer to smooth the surface – these are warnings to be noticed!

2. THICK NAILS: It is fairly obvious is you have a thickening of the nails and they can have several causes including:

•Thick/separated nails can indicate thyroid disease or psoriasis
•Thick/rough-surfaced nails can be a sign of fungal infection
•Unusually thick nails could be a symptom of a circulation problem
•Thick nails alone could even signal lung disease
Thickening is fairly easy to notice when it first appears but please note that allergic reactions to some medications manifest themselves as thick nails!

3. DISCOLORED NAILS: A healthy nail bed i.e the tip of the nail) should be pink with a slight pinky white moon shape at the base. Streaks of any other stronger shades or colors can indicate health issues, there are nails that are tinged by other colors such as:

•Dark stripes towards the top of the nail are associated with aging and congestive heart failure
•Blueish tinge to the nails can be a sign of depleted oxygen levels in your blood
•Green nails are usually a sign of a bacterial infection
•White nails indicate liver disease, such as hepatitis
•Red streaks on the nail bed could be a warning of an infection of the heart valves
•Dull nails in general mean a deficiency of vitamins

Inspect your nails when they are clean and you should know when the color changes

4: PITTED NAILS: Sometimes small dips can just be the result of a bash to the hand in general, but sometimes more attention should be paid as they can be a symptom of:

•Zinc deficiency (usually the pit will form a line across the middle of the nailbed)
•Connective tissue disorder
•Psoriasis
•Alopecia areata, which is an autoimmune disorder that results in hair loss

Learn the difference between an injury related imperfection which should not last too long, and a potential disease related imperfection which will not clear up.

5. DRY AND BRITTLE NAILS: Healthy nails should not require cuticle oil and moisturizers as they should maintain themselves. Excessively dry or brittle nails can be a sign of a hormonal balance problem or a bacterial infection.

•Thyroid disease can result in brittle, dry nails that also crack and split very easily
•Fungus can cause nails to become dry or even crumbly and is a common problem
Both these potential problems can be treated and the nails will return to good health once a full growing cycle has passed (hand nails grow at about 1 mm per week so on average the full life cycle of human nail is about 6 months).

6. CONCAVE OR SPOON SHAPED NAILS:What are known as ‘full spoon’ nails are very soft and curve upwards with the dip being pronounced enough to hold a drop or two of liquid. This usually is an indication of:
•Heart disease
•Iron deficiency (usually from anemia)
•Hypothyroidism
•Hemachromatosis, which is a liver disorder caused by the body absorbing too much iron
If medical intervention clears up the root cause then the nails will return to a normal healthy shape with time.

7. CLUBBED NAILS: This is when the skin around the nail bed can appear inflamed or unusually puffy. This can mean:
•Liver disease
•Lung disease, especially if you already have trouble breathing
•Inflammatory bowel disease

•AIDS
Most of these health issues will often have already given you other symptoms but the corresponding nail condition can help with diagnosis.

8. SPLIT NAILS: Often our nails split if we have injured them. But when no trauma has occured but the nail flakes away layer by layer it can be a result of several issues:

•Chronic malnutrition
•Deficiency of Vitamin C, folic acid or proteins
•Split nails together with a pitted nail bed can indicate psoriasis
Eating a healthy well balanced diet can eliminate many of these causes.

Obviously our fingernails will not be the only signs of these diseases, but they can provide confirmation or else the motivation to seek further medical attention.

If you found this article useful, share it with friends and family, or with anyone you know may need to pay attention to their nails. A Strong, healthy nails reflect a strong, healthy you.

10 Obvious Fact To Know When A Guy Is Flirting With You

Have you ever wonder how to know if that nice guy is flirting with you? There are a few proven ways that can tell you if he is interested in you. While some people says it’s difficult to read body language at times, it’s possible if you know where to start. Having read a few books about body languages and psychology of men, I will be sharing with Us some 10 ways that men unconsciously and even consciously let you know that they like you. Take a look, see what you see and maybe you might have ignored the signs.

Happy reading!

1. Lovely smile

A lovely smile is actually a good sign and, when it comes to flirting, it’s one of the surest signs he is interested in you. If you notice that he is smiling at you, there’s a good chance he likes you and wants to approach you. Maybe he is shy, so why not show him your confidence and courage by approaching him first? Of course, if you like him. After all, there is nothing to be ashamed of if you approach a man first. Just smile back, initiate a conversation with him and don’t try to play hard to get. Playing hard to get is a great boost, but often it’s a big turn off for guys.

2. Shy blush

Perhaps you know how it’s difficult to flirt with shy guys, but it doesn’t mean that you should avoid such type of man. If you notice that a guy blushes around you, this is one of the most obvious signs he is trying to flirt with you. However, not only do shy guys blush, any guy can actually blush when he sees a beautiful girl. Blushing is a bodily function that we can’t control and if he blushes around you, he certainly likes you.

3. Eye contact

This sign is a little bit tricky, but surely worth paying attention to. Eye contactis important during communication and we need to use this form of body language as often as we can. Depending on how long a man holds an eye contact with you, you can find out whether or not he likes you. If he holds an eye contact with you for longer than an average person, it might be a sign he is interested in you. We all make an eye contact when flirting, right? It’s the same for guys. If a guy holds a short eye contact, he might also flirt with you, he is just a bit shy.

4. Mirroring

You might want to ask what is mirroring?. The thing is sometimes men mirror woman’s actions without even knowing it.Mirroring is another sign he is flirting with you. This ranges from mirroring blink rates to mirroring manner of speaking. For instance, you are laughing and he is laughing as well. The thing is, it’s natural for us to mirror something we love. Besides, a lot of singles dating websites advise guys to use mirroring technique when flirting with girls, maybe your crush does this too.

5. Hands on hips

If he stands with his hands on the hips or places the thumbs in the belt loops, chances are that he might be interested in you. This way, he is trying to show you he is confident man and simply true macho. I personally don't like it when guys uses this way while flirting with ladies, but still it's one of the signs he is truly flirting with you.

6. A flirting touch

If your crush touches you, it’s definitely a sign he likes you. But, when a guy touches you accidentally, this is absolutely another sign to watch for. It means the guy is trying to get your attention and find any excuse to continue conversation with you. Do you like that guy? If yes, flirt back! Most girls ignore this important sign, but you shouldn’t do it. After all, he might be your hubby!

7. Head Tilts

The way a man tilts his head can also signify that he likes you. If he tilts the head towards you, this means he’s listening attentively to each word you say. This also means he’s really attuned to what you are talking about and he’s really interested in conversation with you. I love that amazing feeling when a man is listening to me. I always appreciate it, even if I’m not interested in that man.

8. Dilated pupils

Sometimes our eyes give us away when we don’t want them to. When we are attracted to someone or something our pupils dilate and they become larger. When we don’t like someone or something, our pupils contract. If you notice that the eyes of the guy keep dilating, it’s one of the most obvious signs he adores you and is highly interested in you.

9. Raised eyebrows

You crush may hide his eyes when he is around you because he likes you. He can keep his eyebrows a little bit raised as well. If his eyes are widened and his eyebrows remain raised while you’re talking, this is definite sign he is flirting with you. Watch for it and you’ll surely see it!

10. Fidgeting

Do you fidget when you are around the guy you like? I’m pretty sure you do and it’s okay. You are just nervous and it’s actually a good nervous. It’s all about expectation since you don’t know whether or not he is interested in you. If you see him fidgeting, this is because he’s interested in you and he is a bit nervous to start conversation with you.

Now that you’re aware of the signs he is flirting with you. Am guessing you won't let those signs slip away the next time you are with someone you might be interested in. Do you know any other signs of flirting that I should have added to this list, we will be glad to add to the list.

How To Know He/She Is The Right One

Having read this on a friend blog earlier today, I felt it will be greedy of yours thusly not to share in this nugget, which I believe will be of vital value to someone out there... Our Readers. I hope we all have a good resting week. As you read, do not forget to share, and drop your comment. Enjoy!

A few unsuccessful relationships into your dating life and you begin to wish there was some kind of physical sign to show you when you’ve met the right person. Whether that’s an actual sign that flashes over their head, or some sort of badge the person in question has to wear, we’re not sure. But if only, right?

We’ve done some research, and no one’s invented this yet. But, we know there are some sure fire – but subtler – ways to know whether your partner is for keeps. It’s far too easy to persuade yourself that Mr/Ms Right Now is Mr /Ms Right because they’re in the right place at the right time, and they seem ok. But in reality, you’re dooming yourself to failure with that approach. Your relationship with The One should feel completely right – after all, you’re probably looking to spend the rest of your life with them.

This isn’t a shopping list of the type we joke about with friends; ‘she should have long legs’ or ‘he should have dark brown eyes’. It’s about the things that really matter for a long-lasting, happy relationship:.

1. You trust each other
Trust is an essential pillar in any relationship. You have to trust each other to make the right decisions about your relationship. If there’s no trust, everything else is irrelevant. Ask yourself if you trust your partner will always do the right thing by you. If the answer’s yes, then you’re ahead of the curve.

2. Your relationship makes you both better people
A relationship is a partnership, full of shared experience and built on a foundation of mutual support. Your relationship should make you want to be – and actually be – a better person. At the same time you should also be able to confidently say you encourage your partner to be a better person too. Whether this is in their career choices, leading a healthy lifestyle, taking up new hobbies or calling relatives more often, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that you make a visible, positive impact upon each other.

3. Your share the same ideas about how to live your lives
People love to say ‘opposites attract’ and in the early days of a relationship this is very true. After all, who doesn’t love the excitement of the unknown? But, when you’re thinking long term, you want to be thinking about someone who has the same life view as you. This can be anything – from a desire to settle in the country with a nice house and 3 kids, or a dream of giving it all up to move to Australia and live on a ranch – it doesn’t matter, as long as your ideas converge. The same goes for your spiritual beliefs, sense of humour and even your intellect. Compatibility on these levels will ensure a long future together.

4. You laugh together
Forget all that stuff about amazing sexual chemistry (though that’s great), or whether you both like cheese. Your ability to have fun together and laugh at the same things is incredibly important. For one thing, if you can have fun together just ‘being’ (i.e. without spending money, or going somewhere special) it’ll stand you in great stead in the tough times. For another thing, there’s nothing like laughter to bring a couple together. It can break the frostiest of moods, and best of all it’s free!

5. You communicate
Communication is right up there with trust in a relationship. Do you feel you can talk to your partner when something is bothering you? Do you feel like you can share your deepest secrets with your partner? If this person is going to be The One, then you’re going to need to answer yes to both those questions. Similarly, do you have the capacity to speak in a caring, non-judgemental way, even when your partner has done something to really rile you? By doing so, you show your deep compassion for your partner that can’t be suppressed by the irritations of everyday life.

How To Get Ride Of Acne/Pimples

Getting rid of acne/pimples is not an easy task, however there are some homemade tools that could help to relieve this. I have tried at home myself and I think it will be of help to those who are finding it difficult to get off their acne/pimples, hence sharing.  You can try the followings:

Ice
Use ice quickly on a newly rising pimple to soothe it. This will help improve blood circulation to the affected area and will also freeze the skin pores. It also helps remove dirt and oil collected on the skin, thereby healing the pimple.

Lemon

Lemon juice is rich in vitamin C and is extremely effective in getting rid of pimples. Lemon juice helps the pimple dry up fast. You can directly use a little lemon juice on a cotton swab and apply it on your face before bed and wash it off the next morning.

Toothpaste

Many people have sworn about the effectiveness of toothpaste on a pimple. Use a little toothpaste on the pimple before bed and allow it to stay overnight then wash it off in the morning. You will see a significant reduction in the size and swelling of the pimple.

Tomato

Tomato is high in antioxidants and acts as an amazing natural astringent to treat inflamed pimples. Just dab a little tomato juice on the affected area and allow it to stay on for about 20 minutes before you wash it off.

Garlic

Garlic has antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic and antioxidant properties, which can help treat pimples. Freshly cut garlic can effectively help heal pimples quickly. Cut up fresh garlic and rub it on your pimples for five minutes before washing your skin with lukewarm water. Repeat this routine several times to keep your skin pimple free.

Honey:
Honey is a very useful and beneficial in a lot of ways, though a added sweetener you can actually use to cure ande care for that acute acne and pimples. Add a little portion of honey on a cotton bud. Add a little of lemon. Then place on the affected part where there is acne/pimples. Leave for 15minutes. Then wash off with Luke warm water. A consistent use if this process at least twice daily within 2weeks will give you that glow and fresh free acne/pimple skin.

Turmeric:
Turmeric can be taken orally or applied externally. It has been found to be high in anti-oxidant. It is essential to use in little concentration if you intend to go out into the Sun within 48hours of its application. However, turmeric mixed with a little water then applied to the skin will do the magic of getting rid of acne/pimples.
I hope you try this and let us know what your outcome were. Don't forget to Share, Comment and Like!

Five signs To Note If Your Lady Is Really Into You!

Having recently consulted some astute researchers, I am please to share with us some of the result I have discovered some of the surest signs to know if she love you and really want to spend the future with you.

You have met this hot lady in a miniskirt. You almost cricked your neck to have a glance at her.  She is waddling like a lame duck.  Omg you whispers, she is the woman of your dreams, just the perfect woman you want to have. Let’s just say, you hope of kissing away that shadow of bachelorhood and spending the rest of your life with her. And what do you do? You complimented her and use the slimest opportunity to ask for her number. In no time you became friends.

After days, months and even years of dating, you are still oblivious whether she got a "Liking" for you. Well, I did ransack through my mind. Worry no more as I will be sharing with you, the basic signs to watch out for to know that lady is into you, and do like you as much as you do. Please enjoy!

First thing you notice is:

She will spare time for you

You’ve exchanged contacts and soon you realize she kept your number like an artifact in that museum (read phonebook). She doesn’t bother dialing you instead she has pushed the ball to your court. There is this cliché that women are good in juggling with so many tasks at a go. Henceforth, no matter how busy a woman might be, she will always be there for you.

She then;

Introduces you to people around her

At nascent stages of your courtship, she will introduce you to her friends. She is not ashamed of having you as part of her life. You know you have hit the bull’s eye when she introduces you to your brother-in-law elect or even her mother.

She will talk to you

You can gauge her commitment through how she treats you. Is she taking for a ride? Does she respond to your short text messages? Well, if it a resounding no...Call your shots. Don’t waste your precious time building magnificent castles in the air. There 70% chance there is another man in her life, so boof off.

She likes what you like

She knows the genre of food, the perfume or even hairstyle you like. No Naija men adores a woman that exposes so much of her feminity. (Please note that if they tell you otherwise know that they are lying at you). He’s just enduring through this hell of the stench from what he sees. They believe a virtuous woman won't go about dressing naked exposing her "asset" to the world. Anyway this is story for another day. When she is afraid of losing you, she will sacrifice a lot- like absconding that good-for-nothing hairstyle.

 Future

Are you part of her future? Or has she relegated you to be her escort man accompanying her to (her) Mr. Right? Well, this tale-tale way that you need to watch out. A woman who suggestively talks of plans of starting a family means you hold her keys to a tomorrow. And a promise of a future together.

I hope this basic fundamentals will guide your path into knowing if that lady truly and really wants a future with you. If you have any more additional opinion, drop your comment and we sure be willing to add to the list.

Thanks!

The Original Mother’s Day Proclamation!

while countries around the world celebrate their own Mother’s Day at different times throughout the year, several countries, including the United States, Italy, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, and Turkey celebrate it on the second Sunday of May.

In the United States, the origins of the official holiday go back to 1870, when Julia Ward Howe – an abolitionist best remembered as the poet who wrote “Battle Hymn of the Republic” – worked to establish a Mother’s Peace Day. Howe dedicated the celebration to the eradication of war, and organized festivities in Boston for years.

In 1907, Anna Jarvis, of Philadelphia, began the campaign to have Mother’s Day officially recognized, and in 1914, President Woodrow Wilson did this, proclaiming it a national holiday and a “public expression of our love and reverence for all mothers.”

Today’s commercialized celebration of candy, flowers, gift certificates, and lavish meals at restaurants bears little resemblance to Howe’s original idea. There is nothing wrong with that. But here, for the record’s sake, is the proclamation she wrote in 1870, which explains, in her own impassioned words, the goals of the original holiday.

Arise, all women who have hearts, whether your baptism be that of water or of tears! Say firmly: “We will not have great questions decided by irrelevant agencies, our husbands shall not come to us, reeking with carnage, for caresses and applause.

“Our sons shall not be taken from us to unlearn all that we have been able to teach them of charity, mercy and patience. We women of one country will be too tender of those of another country to allow our sons to be trained to injure theirs.”

From the bosom of the devastated earth a voice goes up with our own. It says, “Disarm, disarm! The sword is not the balance of justice.” Blood does not wipe out dishonor nor violence indicate possession.

As men have often forsaken the plow and the anvil at the summons of war, let women now leave all that may be left of home for a great and earnest day of counsel. Let them meet first, as women, to bewail and commemorate the dead. Let them then solemnly take counsel with each other as to the means whereby the great human family can live in peace, each learning after his own time, the sacred impress, not of Caesar, but of God.

In the name of womanhood and of humanity, I earnestly ask that a general congress of women without limit of nationality may be appointed and held at some place deemed most convenient and at the earliest period consistent with its objects, to promote the alliance of the different nationalities, the amicable settlement of international questions, the great and general interests of peace.

Share with us, how did you celebrate your mothers' day?

11 Most Common Myths About Male and Female Infertility

1. 'He doesn't have any fertility problems; he's already a dad.'
Contrary to popular belief, male fertility is finite. Similar to female fertility, male fertility decreases with age, particularly after age 40.

Researchers have found a direct link between paternal age and an increased risk of autism and schizophrenia. Men pass along as many as four times more genetic mutations compared with mothers. As a man ages, the concentration of mobile, healthy semen and semen volume overall will decrease.

2. 'All the women in my family had more babies in their 40s, so I am fine.'
Although family fertility history is taken into account during treatment, it can neither help nor hinder fertility potential. Previous successful pregnancies also do not signify a bump-free conception route.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 11% of couples experience secondary infertility, which is defined as a couple with a child being unable to conceive again after a year. Once a woman hits 40, there is a less than 5% chance (PDF) she will get pregnant in any given month (compared with 20% at age 30).

3. 'I smoke, but I don't have to give it up until I'm pregnant.'

Test helps women with fertility issues Tiny miracle after massive heartbreak Can hot tubs make you infertile?
The American Society for Reproductive Medicine estimates that up to 13% of female infertility diagnoses are due to smoking. Believe it or not, smoking as few as five cigarettes a day each has been associated with lower fertility rates in both men and women.

4. 'We have sex within 24 hours after ovulation.'

After ovulation has ended, becoming pregnant is impossible. Ovulation -- when an egg drops from the ovary into the fallopian tubes -- occurs once a month, roughly seven to 10 days before a woman's period. For pregnancy to occur, sperm must meet an egg during this one- to two-day time period.

To boost your odds, have sex before and during ovulation, as sperm can survive in the reproductive tract for three days. If a woman's monthly cycles are irregular, visit a specialist to discuss ovulation. Ovulatory disorders are the most common infertility diagnosis for women.

5. 'I don't have to worry about my eggs until I'm 40.'

At birth, a woman has 7 million eggs, which slims down to 400,000 at the onset of puberty. During a woman's lifetime, approximately 400 to 500 eggs will be released. As a woman ages, the ovarian reserve declines. A woman's egg supply takes a rapid decline in the late 20s, again in the 30s and then most notably after age 35.

6. 'I do yoga and exercise. I'm in great shape. Age won't affect my fertility.'
A healthy body and mind can boost fertility, but it cannot reverse the age of ovaries and semen. For both men and women, age is a critical component of fertility potential.

7. 'I know we could stand to lose weight, but ...'

When men or women carry extra weight, hormonal shifts occur in the body that can affect ovulation and semen production. The great news is that couples can team up to lose weight, become active together and boost their fertility.

Although it is estimated that 70% of women with infertility are also obese, losing as little as 5% to 10% of body weight can boost fertility in men and women.

8. 'Only women need to take supplements before a pregnancy.'
It has long been known that women should take folic acid to prevent certain birth defects, but folic acid is now known to be an important supplement in male fertility.

Researchers at the University of California, Berkeley found that men had a higher rate of chromosomal abnormalities in their sperm when their diet was low in folic acid. Coenzyme Q10 has also been found to increase sperm count and sperm motility, and vitamin E also improves low sperm count.

9. 'STDs affect my health, but they don't affect trying to have a baby.'

For both men and women, sexually transmitted diseases can affect the ability to have children. STDs can cause scarring and blockage of the male reproductive structures. If STDs go untreated in women, they can lead to an episode of pelvic inflammatory disease, which is a leading cause of infertility.

10. 'It doesn't matter how much coffee I drink.'

Believe it or not, that venti at Starbucks might be working against you. One study found that "women who consumed more than the equivalent of one cup of coffee per day were half as likely to become pregnant, per cycle, as women who drank less."

Caffeine can decrease fertility, so be sure to limit intake. It's better to opt for decaffeinated or half-caffeinated coffee, and remember there is caffeine in tea, colas and chocolate.

11. 'We have sex every single day so we can get pregnant faster.'

Having sex every day only slightly increases pregnancy when compared with having sex every other day, according to a study in the New England Journal of Medicine. If a man has a normal sperm count, sperm concentration does not decrease during daily sex.

How Do You Know You're Good In Bed?

If you are great in bed and have the best moves, then your man will find you very sexy and it will be difficult for him to keep his hands off you.

Am I good in bed? This question has been nagging you at the back of your mind since the first time you made love. We say love-making is almost like an art! An art you have to perfect over time and be great at it. But how to find out if you have achieved it or not? Fret not as we tell you about some signs that scream out loud the fact that you drive him crazy in bed.

Hand clenches: Just notice if your man is clenching his hands and legs when you are making love. If he is, then you are just doing the right thing to your man. Kiss him again and again at the same place and watch him go crazy.

Repeat performance: You have just made love and your man wants to go at it again. Well it’s a big sign ladies that he is unable to resist you. If he wants you again and again, then it only means one thing – yes you have some rocking moves in bed!

Behaviour post love-making: If your man acts distant just after you have made love or just hugs you lightly and rolls off to sleep, just know that there is something wrong. But if he canoodles you and holds you tight and shares a romantic kiss or two, then he has feelings for you and you are too good in the sack.

Flirty afterwards: He keeps on sending flirty text messages the whole day, is naughty and just can’t stop sending you naughty emojis. It’s love girls or shall we say deep lust.

Can’t stop talking about it: There can be two scenarios, either your man will get on with the daily chores or else will be smitten by you and will discuss every small detail about the passionate night. He will talk abou those kisses, that touch and how you drove him wild. Just know that you are a sex goddess who has just given him the best night ever.

Mr. Touchy: If you are great in bed and have the best moves, then your man will find you very sexy and it will be difficult for him to keep his hands off you. If he is touchy the whole day and finds reasons to touch you, kiss you and get naughty, just know that you are really good in bed.

Animal instinct: Men can be lukewarm during sex and at times passionate. But if you bring out the animal out in him every time you make love, then know that you have some great moves in bed. Between the sheets if your man is completely losing himself then you are amazing. Are you grinning already?

He confesses the truth: Men don’t tell it until they feel it. If he feels you are amazing in bed and is truthful about it, you will know that you are the ultimate sex goddess. If your man accepts the fact that you know the art to make him feel the best, then just smile and be proud.

He’s trying hard: Do you see your man trying new moves too? Is he struggling to keep up with you and invents new things to experiment in the bedroom. If he is trying hard to keep you satiated, then you are a sex diva and he is trying to get just as good as you

It’s great for you too: You can never give your 100 per cent until you are getting some great moves too. If he is giving it all, then you get better too. With reciprocation comes love and satisfaction. You get better with your man trying as hard too.

12 Basic Fundamental Truth You should Know About Relationships

Majority of us forget the truth about relationship, and this sometimes makes your relationships more complicated than they are. After reading different articles and books, I gathered few things together, Here are simple reminders to help you keep them on track.

1) All successful relationships require some work. – Successful relationships don’t just happen, or maintain themselves. They exist and thrive when the parties involved take the risk of sharing what it is that’s going on in their minds and hearts. Open communication and honesty is the key.

2) You get what you put in. – most of the time, you get what you put in your relationship, If you want love, give love. If you want friends, be friendly. If you’d like to feel understood, try being more understanding. It’s a simple practice that works.

3) You shouldn't have to fight for a spot in someone’s life. – Never force someone to make a space in their life for you, because if they know your worth, they will create one for you. I always say to people never make someone your priority when you're only an option to them, if they know you're worth it they will make you their number one.

4)There is a purpose for everyone you meet. – People come into our life for different reasons and purpose, Some people will test you, some will use you, and some will teach you; but most importantly some will bring out the best in you. Learn to see and accept the differences between these people, and carry on accordingly.

5) We all change, which is only normal– Our needs change with time. When someone says, “You’ve changed,” it’s not always a bad thing. Sometimes it just means you stopped living your life their way. Don’t apologize for it. Instead, be open and sincere, explain how you feel, and keep doing what you know in your heart is right.

6)You are in full control of your own happiness. – happiness Is a choice you make , If your relationship with yourself isn’t working, don’t expect your other relationships to be any different. Nobody else in this world can make you happy. It’s something you have to do on your own. "And you have to create your own happiness first before you can share it with someone else. If you feel that it’s your partner’s fault, think again, and look within yourself to find out what piece is missing. "happiness is a choice you make".

7) Learn to forgive.. – Forgiveness is not saying, “What you did to me is okay.” It is saying, “I’m not going to let what you did to me ruin my happiness forever.” It doesn’t mean you’re erasing the past, or forgetting what happened. It means you’re letting go of the resentment and pain, and instead choosing to learn from the incident and move on with your life. (read post: letting go of the past")

8) You cannot change people; they can only change themselves. – Instead of trying to change others, give them your support and lead by example. If there’s a specific behavior someone you love has that you’re hoping disappears over time, it probably won’t. If you really need them to change something, be honest and put all the cards on the table so this person knows what you need them to do.

9) Arguments are a waste of time. – The less time you spend arguing with the people who hurt you, the more time you’ll have to love the people who love you. And if you happen to find yourself arguing with someone you love, don’t let your anger get the best of you. Give yourself some time to calm down and then gently discuss the situation.

10) You are better off without some people. – When you have to start compromising yourself and your morals for the people around you, it’s probably time to change the people around you. If someone continuously mistreats you or pushes you in the wrong direction, have enough respect for yourself to walk away from them. It may hurt for a little while, but it’ll be ok. You’ll be ok, and far better off in the long run.

11) Small gestures go a long way. – Honour your relationships in some way every chance you get. Every day you have the opportunity to make your relationship sweeter and deeper by making small gestures to show your appreciation and affection. Remember, making one person smile can change the world. Maybe not the whole world, but their world. Your kindness and gratitude matters.

12) Even the best relationships don’t last forever. – People don’t live forever. Appreciate what you have, who loves you and who cares for you. You’ll never know how much they mean to you until the day they are no longer beside you. And remember, just because something doesn’t last forever, doesn’t mean it wasn’t worth your while.

Ciao!

Habits That Might End A Good Relationship!

We all get to that stage in our relationship where we feel completely at ease with each other, well it is only normal. But when you get so comfortable that you neglect friends, your manners e.t c then things can start going downhill.
If you want to avoid major drama in your relationship, resist the ten habits below that are known to ruin otherwise healthy relationships.

1) Criticising his/her family...
No matter how you feel about your boyfriend/girlfriend's family, making it known to him/her just how much they drive you crazy is bound to drive an irreparable wedge into your relationship. So it's best to hold your tongue when the subject of his family comes up.

2) Letting yourself go....
Not only is it bad for your health and overall well-being, but letting yourself go -- whether that means gaining weight or not caring about your appearance -- after settling into a relationship is one habit that sends a bad message to your partner: if you stop caring about yourself, he may assume that you've stopped caring about him too.

3) Forgetting your friends....
Have you ever had a friend who has suddenly partnered up with the guy/girl they’ve been raving about for the past few weeks and then you don’t see them again for months? Maybe that “friend” is actually you? We’ve all probably been guilty of this at some point in our lives. No matter how much we love spending time with our other half, it’s important to keep in regular contact with our friends for the sake of our own sanity.
Our pals remind us that there are other things going on in the world aside from romance, and they keep our feet firmly on the ground when we start getting swept off into romantic dream land. Spending all of your time with your other half usually ends up with you getting bored of each other pretty soon into the relationship and this is a recipe for disaster.

4) Spying...
You may think you're doing yourself a favor by keeping up constant surveillance your boyfriend/girlfriend's phone, Facebook and Twitter habits; however by being aware of the minutiae of his/her whereabouts and thoughts, you're more likely to do your relationship more harm than good.you get paranoid and scared for nothing. Oh never forget.... You start Nagging!

5) Fighting in Public.....
It is natural for couples to have the occasional argument, especially after being together for any significant amount of time; however, fights that become so uncontrollable that they regularly spill out into the open, damage your relationship! I say you can have arguments. But in public, among friends act like nothing is going on.

6) Sharing Your Secrets With Your Friends.... (To my dear Ladies)
Discretion is one of the chief qualities of a good relationship. Therefore, be sure to keep various aspects of your love life for yourself and your partner. Men in particular can feel extremely vulnerable and irritated if they find out about a problem or a secret from their friends and not their partner. Talk over the delicate issues with your partner rather than confessing them to your friends.

7) Trying to improve your partner....
Many women think they are helping the men that they're with by trying to make them over, however, by doing so; they only end up causing more problems for the relationship.

8) Allowing problems to fester.....
Everyone would like to think that they have the perfect relationship; however, if in your quest to avoid creating drama in your relationship, you frequently allow things that upset you to go unsaid; you are doing yourself and your partner a great disservice. Good communication is the cornerstone of any happy, long-term coupling.

9) Taking each other for granted...

• Do you turn to him/her for his thoughts and/or advice?
• Do you consider him/her when making a decision?
• Do you thank him /her when they've done something good and/or right?
• Do you thank and compliment your partner when they mean well?
• Do you listen to him/her and/or pay attention to his/her needs?

10) Lying....
Lying to your boyfriend/girlfriend for any reason does not bode well for a successful future together. Just don't do it!

KISSING VIBES

Apparently men who kiss their wives every morning live 5 years longer than men who don't. Apart from being a way to show affection, kissing has also been scientifically proven to reduce stress considerably by releasing certain hormones into the body.

Coupled with cuddling, it serves as a good symbol of reassurance to the females, enforcing the feelings of security and love. It s also an excellent way to kick of foreplay which may eventually lead to coitus.

It is highly recommended that partners involved in kissing should have good breath; this improves the experience greatly. There are several techniques of kissing, the most popular being the "French Kiss" involving the use of tongue. However i am not sure if the style of kissing has its origins from France or if only french speaking people round the world started it.

Some females have been known to prefer the act of kissing to actual coitus relations. They can be kissed on the lips, neck, forehead, shoulder, cheeks, in fact pretty much any part of the body.

Men Cheat, Women are Materialistic... Is it True?

Dating-questions (1)
Happy weekend to you, you and you. I hope the weekend is going as it were planned, if not... take a seat and read on as I bring to you another interesting write-up in our relationship and life segment.
Am sure you are conversant with the statement:
“ALL men are chronically unfaithful.”
“Women are materialistic.”
These are two of the most common phrases in any conversation about relationships in all over the world. I’m exploring the validity of those statements.
While majority of  men complain about the materialism of today's modern women, apparently our women are totally consumed with thoughts of money; of course not all men cares about cash, well i think some still do.
Haven been opportune to visit other continent and meet with people of diverse race, ethnic and belief. I realise that the perception on Love and money in a relationship does not differ at all. For instance, in Nigeria where I am from, they’ll tell you that a Nigerian girl, especially the Lagos girl, falls in love with your wallet before she even looks at you. When I first heard this complaint, I felt so bad for our men. Poor kiddos, how could they cope dealing with these greedy materialistic girls? I mean I know I’ve definitely judged Nigerian girls harshly. College girls from struggling families have two hundred and fifty thousand Naira (plus) weaves, the latest smartphones, and expensive trips abroad, I know it’s their pocket-money doing all that. As I’ve grown older, I’ve gotten kinder, and less judgmental(here’s hoping though).
On the flip side, Nigerian women moan about the legendary infidelity of Nigerian men, Nigerian men can’t be trusted. Listening to the variety of stories about the men is absolutely petrifying; some get engaged to two women at the same time, others take mistresses on their honeymoon, placing them in the same hotel as their wives, while others maintain two families or sleep with the maids and nannies. Unfortunately, these stories are not fiction; we all have a few of them in our families or our close circle of friends. It’s enough to make a girl reconsider getting into this thing called marriage.
Even though I do not want to be judgmental, I  had experiences that have made me rethink who gets the blame in this messy situation. Recently a friend was talking about setting up a close friend of ours; apparently he had a number of single friends who would be ideal for her (Shola). Call me a skeptic, but I was surprised that he knew so many people who Shola could have fulfilling relationships with, not because she is difficult or anything of course. His answer was that they all had really well-paying jobs. Now don’t get me wrong, I would not want my to be with an ambition-less pauper, but I think there are many other qualities beyond a well-paying job that make someone a potential partner, like that pesky thing called compatibility. However, in his experience security is the first thing a Nigerian girl asks about.
Its also no surprise that, even while I was in Nigeria several years back, hustling the street of Abuja as a naive marketer, I’ve been on the receiving end of Nigerian men both young and old trying to throw money at me. Yet when you refuse their blatant offerings, and try to find out more about them, they are uncooperative but they’ll complain about materialistic women. I’ve heard multiple times that the majority of Nigerian women are unintelligent and unable to have decent conversations. This is generally said as a back-handed compliment to me, others in the same vein say things like “you have beauty and brains”, as though the two are incompatible. Apparently women just talk about movies, celebrities and make-up. Hearing this you would think these men are coming up with the solutions to Syria and Nigeria’s problems in their daily chats, lol!. Nah, generally they are discussing football, PS3 and if you are lucky, how to make money. I find these comments extremely insulting and not flattering in the least. I for one have never noticed a marked deficit in female intelligence among my friends and casual acquaintances, if the only women they encounter are unintelligent, the problem might be with their selection criteria not women in general. I’ve had as many terrible conversations with men as with women. This paragraph is brought on by a recent experience I had on a “date”, my date asked a question regarding some of my future academic pursuits. As I began to answer the question with the seriousness I felt it deserved, I noticed he wasn’t paying attention; he was looking down and chatting on his phone, how rude. This was the same guy who had previously commented on the lack of intelligent conversations. Ironic eh?
I’ve spent a good bit of time considering both angles and I’ve reached a conclusion, it’s truthfully a chicken and the egg situation. Are the women materialistic because they realize that’s all they can depend on the men for? Are the men unfaithful because they are with women who choose them for only for what’s in their pocket? Do men present the situation to be used through their own laziness? They rather flash their bank cards than spend time courting a women learning about her interests and what makes her tick. Do women simply utilize the opportunities presented to them by men? Are both men and women simply not just using each other?
After interacting with men and women, both at home and abroad. I’ve decided that this system is mutually beneficial for the active players. The men get bought women who are so desperate for money that they’ll do anything to stroke their man’s ego. These women will turn a blind eye to all their misbehavior, and accept crappy treatment from them. The women on their part have embraced the ideology of “it’s as easy to love a rich man as a poor man.” As long as they are kitted out in the latest designers, get to travel abroad and drive nice cars, life is good. I only feel bad for those who are genuinely searching for love, for that person that completes them. 60%  are looking to be married just to be, 30% consider marriage to be their meal ticket and the remaining 10% (probably an overly generous estimate) are sincerely searching for love. Yes, these statistic are just randomly thrown out from my brain, but I don’t think the results would be different if I performed a rigorous scientific study. I’d love to hear if y’all agree or disagree.
Have a blessed week.
