20 Life, and Facts The Successful People Don't Live By. Part-1

We all know how important been successful is all about, however I have noticed and observed with kin enthusiasm in the last decade of my understanding of "success",  some notable misconceptions. Below I will be sharing with us and I hope we will learn one or two things from. Kindly leave your comments and observations in the box below. Happy reading...
1. They don't define success in a monetary term. Most successful people define success as happiness, having a peace of mind, or helping others. They see money as something that brings them comfort and opens doors of opportunities. They realize that money can't buy them happiness.
2. They don't start their days without plans. Successful people know that in order to stay on top of work and become successful, they need to be disciplined and be smart with how they manage their time. In order to do this, they plan their days ahead, putting together a to-do list at the start of the day  --  what needs to be done and in what order. Not only are they going to make sure that they don't miss out on any important task or meeting, but also optimize their time for the optimal performance.
3. They don't define "perfection" as their end goal.To successful people, striving for perfection is rather a waste of energy and time because you would be spending your time looking for mistakes and faults to fix. Instead, you should strive for "growth." From one point to another, successful people achieve each goal with growth in mind.
4. They don't surround themselves with negative people. Pessimistic people, people who whinge and complain, people who procrastinate, and people who find excuses for everything  --  these are the kinds of people that successful people don't surround themselves with. Because the more you hang around these people, the more negative energy you receive. Instead, successful people hang around positive people, driven people, and people inspire them.
5. They don't perceive difficulties as problems. When successful people face a difficulty or an obstacle, they see it as another challenging issue that they need to solve like any other obstacles they've gone through in the past. They believe that these experiences will only make them smarter and stronger.
6. They don't let failure bring them down. Successful people see failure as a part of growth and an opportunity to learn and make a progress. They believe that no matter how many times they fail, they will get back up again stronger than before.
7. They don't let problems bring them down. If you let your life get weighed down by problems, you're not going to be anything but stressed. And that is the way to having more problems in life.
When facing a problem, instead of focusing on the problem, you should focus on your action and what you do to make the situation better. By shifting your focus like this, you will feel better and find an even better way to solve the problem.
8. They don't let other people's judgments affect their self-esteem. Successful people don't let themselves and their self-esteem get bogged down by other people's words or judgments. They know what they are worth and what they stand for. They know what they want out of lives, what they are looking for, and they have their own rules for making all that happen for themselves. They don't rely on outside approval. They don't need others to prove their worth.
9. They don't make excuses.Successful people take responsibility for their mistakes. If things don't go as planned or something goes wrong, they will take responsibility for it and fix the problem. Successful people are determined to get their goals achieved each day  --  no matter big or small. They don't make excuses.
10. They don't envy other people's success. Successful people believe that everyone has the ability to become successful. They believe that the more successful people there are, the better this world will become. Seeing other people succeed doesn't make them envy, but rather makes them feel inspired and motivated.
...there we have it, will continue on our subsequent blog with the second concluding part. Stay tuned, stay successful!

Inspirational: How Prepare are You!

Prepare- is one word we often hear, often experience the consequences of not doing; and still don't do.  Eventually some come around to do it, once in a blue moon & some are addicted to it.

Here is a reminder to you and I mean YOU, PREPARE. Its no use trying to shine if you haven't taken time to fill your lamp. When you know His Word is a lamp to your feet & light for your path, you meditate.

PREPARE, a verb which sprees out the action to make ready in doing something for now or the future. It involves systematic planning and relentless effort.  It verb expresses the following as an act to:

1. To make ready beforehand for a specific purpose, as for an event or occasion: The teacher prepared the students for the exams.
2. To put together or make by combining various elements or ingredients; manufacture or compound: prepared a meal; prepared the lecture.
3. To fit out; equip: prepared the ship for an arctic expedition.
4. Music To lead up to and soften (a dissonance or its impact) by means of preparation.
v.intr.
1. To make things or oneself ready.
2. To study or complete a course of study at a preparatory school.

My question here then is, how prepare do we get in our daily routine, at work, in school, as professional etc. We should therefore despite the daily hustle that life brings take time to lay or position ourselves the foundation for exploit, while avoiding to be a last minutes timer. Get the right qualification that you know keeps you fit for that position, go on training, improve yourselves. Take the challenge. It's never too easy, yea- but trust me can!

POWER OF VISION; with Joel Adeniyi

‘Where there is no vision the people perish’. Vision can be defined as the ability to see or the power to imagine things.

Vision is the act and the power of seeing or imagining things. Vision goes beyond what the prophets in the house of God see concerning us. Vision starts with every individual: what he or she sees concerning himself or herself. Before anyone can see something about you there must be something you must have seen concerning yourself.

But it is so unfortunate today that many are the eyes that look but few are the eyes that see. To look is different from to see. We look with our eyes but we see with our mind. Many minds have been darkened and blinded that they can’t see anything good or positive about themselves unless someone else do it for them.

Helen Keller: An American author and educator, who were born blind and deaf, became a great woman with astonishing accomplishments in life. In 1903 she wrote two books titled The Story of my life and Optimism, in 1908 she also wrote the world I live in. she wrote many books that are making impact to the people in the world today. She became a lecturer in the school of the blind. She later established $ 2 million endowment fund for the blind and the deaf.

What a great achievement. One of her favorite quote was “The greatest blindness in life is to have eyes without a vision.” If a blind woman could achieve greatness, what excuse do you that have two eyes widely opened have?  What you see is what you believe and what you believe is what you become. Men of vision are men on mission. They are people that can’t be carried away by anything anyhow except by their vision.

Vision is the compass that directs and guides the path of a great person to fulfill purpose and also to achieve greatness in life. Qualitative and genuine vision is what can save a nation or individual from perishing. The ability to see ahead is a great opportunity to be ahead. If you don’t see ahead, you can’t be ahead. Vision is the sign post to purpose on earth.

The vision you see concerning yourself is what is important most not the vision of anyone. The vision of any prophet concerning your life should be the confirmation of the vision you see concerning yourself. Let the light of God shine into the thick darkness of your mind and open the inner eyes of your mind then you can begin to see new and great things concerning you and future. It starts with God and ends with God.

You can’t do it alone, for the fish can’t survive without its source which is God so also man can’t without the source which is God. Remember, you were born to be great and you can be great if only you choose to be. It is a matter of choice and not a must.

Have a splendid Sunday!

Word Of The Day!

However, it's of importance to note that we should avoid looking for happiness in someone else’s lifestyle. We often fail to understand that our current circumstances are often times the direct results of our past actions. Rather than trying to steal someone else’s sunshine, or lifestyle, we should go and find yours/ours through seeking God's divine guidance.

#bosydeprincessa says so! Blessed week ahead folks.

Letting go...

Over the years and from experiences I've always been thankful for all the difficult people and situations in my life and the challenges life places at me, and not forgetting to learn one or two things from them, this is because they have shown me exactly who I do not  want to be. I've always learn from my mistakes because it helps me let go of my past rather than hanging on to it.

I have learnt that stucking in on the regret of the life you should have had, you end up missing the beauty of what you do have. As long as you are worried about what others think of you, you are owned by them. Only when you require no approval from outside yourself can you own yourself. We must let go of the life we had planned so we can enjoy the life that is waiting for us. Sometimes the paths we take are long and hard, But remember, these paths are often the ones that lead to the most beautiful views. Trust me have been there and I know what am talking about!

We sometimes spend too much time living in the 'what if' and need to learn to live in the 'what is.' Every moment you get is a gift, so spend it on things that matter. Don't spend it by dwelling on unhappy things. We all have time machines. Some take us back, they're called memories. Others take us forward, they're called dreams and anyone who has lost something they thought was theirs forever finally comes to realize that nothing really belongs to them. Holding on to the unchangeable past is a waste of energy, and serves no purpose in creating a better future and  Keeping baggage from the past will leave no room for happiness in the future. You cannot erase the past; you must let it go. You cannot change yesterday; you must accept the lessons learned. Expect something good to happen to you today no matter what occurred yesterday because the past no longer holds you captive. It can only continue to hurt you if you hold on to it. Let it go. Sometimes you've got to emotionally let go of the things that once meant a lot to you, so you can move beyond the past and the pains they bring you, and open the next chapter in your life.

I've come to realise that one of the hardest lessons in life is letting go. Whether it's guilt, anger, love, loss, etc. Change is never easy - you fight to hold on, and you fight to let go. Don't let your shoulda's, coulda's and woulda's of yesterday determine your can's and will's of today. Don't allow worry, fear, and doubt to cloud your mind. Fear of what lies ahead can make it tough to let go of a bad relationship, but you must not be afraid to move on and discover how beautiful of a person you really are, and how bright the world really is.

Stop wasting time regretting what you did a year ago.  I as a person don't  believe in regret, id rather learn from my mistakes than say i regret ever doing something,  living in regrets can draw us back and make us stagnant. Because we are busy regretting the past it makes us divert and not focus on what we want to achieve in d future.  Start doing what you have to do now, so that in a year's time you wont regret what you did today. Be thankful for what you have: very very important, in every situation, always give thanks. I know so many times some of us think why am i here? I dont like my position, im tired etc. well You have no idea how many people would love to have what you've got or would love to be in your shoes.

Do you really want to look back on your life and see how wonderful it could have been had you not been afraid to live it? As you proceed today, I want you to take a deep, deeper breathe and say to yourself, I  am me, and I am living my life without regrets, and I can be who I want to be. I leave you with this word, 'Live your life to the fullest cos YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!

Have a great day!

Success Lesson To Learn From The Movie: 'The Pursuit Of Happyness'

I recently came across the quote from the movie, 'The Pursuit Of Happyness'. It has this amazing quote that I think its full of inspiration, wisdom and determination. It is about fighting for your dreams, never letting anything get in your way.

As a young women who is still currently working to find my place in this world, (finding my place I meant, we learning something new in this everyday, new things, new life, new happenings). Anyways, as I was saying, I felt a special connection to this quote and an overwhelming enthusiasm to learn more about the story, especially what motivated and inspired the owner of the story Chris Gardner. Though the first time it came out in 2006 I didn't have the opportunity to watch it, until late 2009 on chilly Friday night on Dstv.

I am not one of the type that enjoy watching a movie twice or repeatedly. But on Friday which happens to be a public holiday here in KKTC, i had but to watch some movie. What came to mind was the movie the Pursuit of Happyness, which i had served in one of my laptop drive.

You got a dream...You gotta protect it. People can't do something themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want something, go get it period (Chris Garnder)

The story was first released as Chris Gardner autobiography in May 2006 and became number one New York Times best seller. The book portrayals a man's quest to better life.

The book has been an inspiration to millions, shocking people with this once homeless man's  determination to become a millionaire. The book made a remarkable stand that the writer didn't even wait a year to make a movie out of it.

In the movie, Ace actor Will Smith plays Chris Gardner at the point in his life when his wife has just left him and he is now a single father, struggling in poverty. Unable to sell many of the bone density scanners which he has long invented putting his life saving into to make. He finds himself struggling to pay rent. However, at the end within one year he manages to become a stockbroker at a top firm and goes on to run his own multi-million dollar firm which has always been his dream.

The story to me speaks about perseverance, determination and hard work. It is a true life testament of a man's life to the idea that if you work hard enough and long enough, you can really achieve anything.

Irrespective of the changes he was faced with, here is a man who still kept on. I was so torched at the scene, where even at his lowest point of his life, when he was sleeping with his son on the restroom floor of a subway station, he maintained the illusion that he was just as much a viable candidate as the other intern who had homes and all the luxuries of modern day businessmen.

He proves that perception really is everything. Note to keep here to you reading this: is that we shouldn't be swayed by the false harsh realities of life.

Another point I want to note is that believing in the self. With this i mean, believing that what you set your mind to do that you will achieve. In the case of Chris Gardner, he never let anything stop him from his dreams, his one true passion. He knew how hard and special it was to find something he not loved doing, but that he understood. He pursued that goal with everything he had, every fiber of his being. Because what else is there in life if you are not pursuing our dreams?  What is the point of it all? Neither is it by sitting down with a down face and wallowing. Like I always say, We have one life, one shot, to do what we love and to make the most of our lives.

To my friends, subscribers and follower reading this, its not a coincidence that to slum on this peace today, it the inner voice telling you to find your path today, your focus. It is important that you keep your dreams alive and keep a clear eyes on the end goal. It is not about failures and missteps along the way, but how they help to make you stronger on your journey to the end.

Letting Go...

The key to life's journey is letting go of the fear that bind us from achieving what we might want....

We all have dreams, hopes, vision, etc but the fear of the unknown sometimes hinder us from walking in that path to success...

As we abide in the new week, it the time to manifest and beginning to walk in a new path of achieving our goals.

Blessed Monday!

Thankful Monday :)

I have been playing with this idea for a while, been ruminating over it every now and then. Thankful Monday.. .nothing too serious...rather more light hearted. You know those everyday things that we probably think we don't need to be thankful for but rather nonchalantly tend to ignore, worrying about whats less important. Losing confident in one self because you might not be able to meet your expectation. Have you ever wondered that each one has a race, our inability not to meet up shouldn't hinder the fact that we need to be thankful.

Over time I have discovered there is no absolute finish line for everyone in the race of life. Our tracks are different and our durations are different.

The only thing we have in common is the same empire. For instance, one person graduates @ age 20 and struggles for another 5 years to get a job, another might graduate @ 25 and get a job immediately.

One can marry a virgin and wait for the next decade to have the blessings of children, another lady probably after having series of abortions in her past, becomes a mother almost immediately after marriage.

A fellow becomes MD @ 38 and dies @ 56, another becomes MD @ 55 and lives to 90. What a life! Life is full of twists, turns, ups and downs and many more surprises and disappointments.

Life offers each one of us different opportunities and once an opportunity is lost, it's gone forever except by the grace of God. It is up to each one of us to patiently prepare, wait, recognise and utilise every opportunity. We learn on the way. No one knows it all or has it better. There is a reason why we all don't fall @ the same time. It's so that when one is down, weak and discouraged, the other who is strong, can encourage and lift the other person.

God never promised that the road would be easy but he promised never to leave nor forsake us. Although life is a competition, let us learn to go easy on ourselves and trust that God is working it all out for good (even if it doesn't make sense now). I know that there is a time for everything but most importantly that " it will come to pass ". Whatever trials, challenges or down time , this too shall pass and in due course, u will be up and strong again to lift up those who maybe down around u......NEVER LOSE HOPE! #bosydeprincessa

I hope you have a splendid day as you take our time to dwell on this as you go around your busy schedule today.

Thank You All!

Video: Something Out Of Nothing- Jessica Reedy

We are faced with different situations that require  we make some choices different from what we have earlier planned or what we would have loved to do.

We make decisions that affects our life and sometimes, we are not afforded the opportunity to do such. The decisions are thrown at us.

We try to make some changes and as much as we try, it proves abortive. Then people tell you it might be part of God's plan for you. So no matter how hard you try, it won't work out like you planned.

I'm very aware that God knows what's best for us. Infact He has good thoughts towards you and me. Thoughts of good and not of evil to bring you and me to an expected end, to give you and me a hope and a future. God loves us and no matter what happens, he has good plans for us.

What happens most of the time is we have a blurry view of what God is doing, or no view at all. So struggle between what God is doing, what we want and what is actually obtainable.  It's usually mind boggling especially if it has a great impact on our life. In areas like relationships, career, family, health, finance, etc.

Praying for God's will might be easy but accepting that what obtains which is what we don't want is God's will is usually what we find hard to accept. There is no better way to know the purpose of a thing other than asking the one who created it. God will reveal his plans  and  purpose if we stay in fellowship with him.

All things work together for good...
If God shows us the plan before it unfolds, most of us will loose sight and never reach our destination.
If he shows us the pain we will endure, most of us will try to circumvent it and if He shows us the things to enjoy, we would lavish it.

The perfect place to be is at the center of God's will. Right where he wants us where our purpose meets destiny, where we can fully fulfill his call for our life.

It might be hard for us to accept it but that's the best place to be.

May you not find enjoyment in the 'absence of God' in your life

I do hope this video minister something to us,I Love this song and her voice is so pretty, I totally love the emotion that comes with the Lyrics...Its a song that torches the heart and makes us want to keep still with God. Truly beautiful and inspiring...

Enjoy!
